Easter In Australia
Ok, here's the Easter story in AU. I really wanted to dye eggs so I went out to hunt down what I would need in the form this country puts it out. The conclusion to the search ended with a box of paints and a dozen eggs. We had to paint our eggs because eggs only come in one color here - brown. I don't even think they know what easter egg dye is...at least the little neighbor girl I asked didn't. It was good though. Erin, Will, David and I had a ball painting eggs together. Both of the boys dropped the eggs they did and so were a bit frusterated:) David also painted his white before decorating it because he said decorating a brown egg just didn't feel right. It was a good time.
We also took braided bread to the neighbor, and the video store man and invited them to church. They didn't come but we had good talks with them so...seed planted...or at least soil tilled.
Easter Sunday we had church but we did have a big lunch together and watched Passion of the Christ. That was intense! That movie is always an eye opener. Before the movie though I cooked my first Ham. It turned out ok thanks to allrecipes.com.
So that was Easter in AU. Oh, I did make easter shoe boxes for David, Will, & Erin. That was fun!!!! Thank you Brenda for the candy you sent us!!! It was our easter candy and we're still munching on it.

April!!!! Wooohooo!
Another update...We're enjoying Australia...We're hard at work...We're getting ready for Easter in the sun... We're excited to come home in July...We're making the most of all we have here until then...
So to expound on those things. We are enjoying Australia. We don't get out as much as you might think from our blog due to the business of life but when we do it's great. The pictures I'm going to post with this came from beach town south of Sydney about 2 hours called Jervis Bay. It was beautiful. We also are enjoying all we're learning from being at Hillsong. David is so busy with school and serving with church and working that I now only see him in the morning and four nights a week. It's good though for a season. I can't complain. We are both growing and being streached by the Lord. David has now been working for a little bit of time for a ministry called Teen Challenge. I know that the ministry opperates in the U.S. too so some of you may be familiar with it. It's been great for him and he loves it. He gets to lead small groups for the guys going through the program and just hang out with them and build realtionships. He's going to get them to start a worship team with him since alot of the guys play instruments. That will be awesome!! All the guys going through the program are coming out of rough situations (I.E. Jail, rehab...) and are in the program for at least a year. It's kind of last resort before going to prison. Some of the guys are saved and some are not but they are definately getting an introduction to God there. It's awesome!
Enough talking though. I'll get some pictures on here now so you can see what we've been up to!
We love you all!!!
