Time flys!!!!!!!! Since my last post lost has been happening. David has been hard at school and church and I've been hard at Hillsong conference centre and church... Two weekends ago we had the BIG women's conference here at Hillsong. It's called Colour Conference and it's huge!!! Probably around 17,000 women and 3,000 volunteers. Talk about alot of work!!! I thought all the people in charge of the Conference Centre were going to need a week at least to recooperate. Everyone was full tilt from Wednesday through Sunday. We'd get to the venue (Acer Arena in the Olympic Park) around 6:30 am and leave around 11:00pm just to get up and do it again the next day. It was good stuff though. I was mainly at the help desks and registration booths (registering people for other conferences...) most of the time, so I got to deal with people who didn't like how things were going, or lost their armbands, or needed specail seating... The list goes on. After the conference was over I was so glad God has enough grace to cover all of us because my grace fealt a bit thin and my smile a bit fake. It was a good experiance for me though. I got to see a huge conference in the works and did get to go into a couple of the sessions to hear Lisa Beveere and Charlette Scanlon-Gambil. The Conference was incredible. Talk about alot of time and effort put in to make it an excellent experiance for the ladies who came. It was amazing!!!!
David was hard at work for the conference too. He was hosting as a team leader the whole time. They worked him so hard!! I think that he probably only got 1 hour for a break the entire conference. He was so good though. He was in charge of half a level of the arena and had to make sure everything happened as it was supposed to during the meatings and worry getting ladies into the right seats and making sure they were happy. He found that that proccess isn't as easy as it might sound. He was always on the run but he did a great job and man, it was an experiance.
The Sunday that followed the conference was Hillsongs live album recording!!!!!!!WE GOT TO SEE THE ACTUAL ALBUM RECORDING. It was incredible! Lots of new great songs for the nations. We've been singing them for awhile here though so it was more like a huge worship service for all the Hillsong attenders. A good night all the way around. HMmmm, who knows, maybe you'll see a quick flash of our faces on the DVD. That would be fun.
