On The Roll

It's the end of November!!! Time flies! As you can see from the pictures above we are definately not in coats and gloves down here. It's been Hot...then it cools down just to warm up again and get muggy. Australian weather is odd.
Anyway, here's a picture of car 2. She's working good and getting us around so, praise the Lord. Hopefully she'll be our tickets back to the states when our time here at Hillsong is done. God is good!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of God's goodness, I've been working 20 hours a week at my little Clothing store which is the max I can work while David's in school. It's completely God's hand in that...most of the holliday workers (which I am one) are only getting 10 - 12 hours a week and I've been told that is very normal. So, God's incredible. Each week he's provided a few extra hours here and there by keeping the store busy so they ask me to stay, or letting me be the person they think of when someone can't come into work... It's awesome! Also, there is a possiblity I will soon start working for Hillsong Church too. The Call Center at the church just had a position open up and a gal from Alaska (Autumn Hardman) that works there suggested me so it looks like I'll have an interview next week sometime. David finished this term of school on Friday so I can work as many hours as I can get. The amazing thing is that my job at Colorado (the clothing store) is only through beginning of January and this job at church would end up carrying over into the rest of next year when David is in school again. God works everything out perfectly:)
David also starts working tomorrow morning for a guy that builds pools. It's going to be hard, hot work but praise the Lord for it. Pray that God keeps Him safe in the heat and with all the equipment they use.
Other than that it's life as usual; We go to the store, buy petro(gas), clean house just as anyone else.
One new event is that we will be moving in with a married couple, Lord willing, come Dec. We are very excited about that. It will be a bit farther away from school but I think it will be good to live with people on the same page. So, Lord willing it's into a nice little house with a couple named Will and Erin in a few weeks. Pray for wisdom in the process of that and getting all our house issues (bills, rentals, contracts...) taken care of before then.
Thank you and God Bless!

Life stories

Ok, well, here is the story of our life over the last couple weeks. I started my job about two weeks ago and it's been good. Interesting and new and ...Praise the Lord for it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm working at a clothing store and was put onto the floor for the first time on this last Saturday. It was fun. I've been praying that the store will work me more though if that would be within God's plan for me here. I've only been getting about 10 hours a week and that's good but it's not making the kids of money we'd like to see come in. Non the less God is providing for us in all we need and we are standing on that. If God needs me in that store for any eternal purpose, He'll get me more hours. I've also been praying that God will open my eyes to see what he needs done there. I know God has provided this job for David and I to be blessed financially but I just pray that there is opportunity to just let people know about my God and all His blessings. If I can plant just one seed that will have eternal profit...Praise the Lord!!
David also has his job getting prepped up for him. He has the oppotunity to work for a guy we met at the church who puts in pools here. It will be hard and hot work but it's a blessing too. He is supposed to start that when Hollidy break starts. So, like two or three weeks from now.
God is good!
Another deal that is up in the air right now is our house. The girls we live with are planning to move closser to the school here in the near future (as in Dec) so David and I are trying to figure out what are plans are going to be. We have a few opptions so if you could, please pray that God will make the best one for us work out and that it would be inexpensive anyway you look at it.
Then we have Hillsong church. It's quite the church! We are enjoying the new experiance and the exciting fast paced church life. They always have a new huge event coming up. THis next weekend David will be attending and serving in their Men's Conference. It's a weekend deal and it looks pretty incredible. They do everything all out here. It's no wonder they have such a huge staff. That's the only way this place could keep going without the leadership burning out completely. Anyway, David will be doing the New Christian ministry at the Conference (the same as he does for two services each sunday) and he's excited about that because he gets to be the first person to talk to individuals that have just given their lives to the Lord at a service. It's been a really cool experiance for him to see people come to know the Lord and then bring their families with them the next week, their friends...etc. It's neat.

EncounterFest

I forgot to tell you about EncounterFest. It was actually last month and it was great. It is the conference for the youth and young adults here and also where they record their new United albums. This year they are only going to use some of the footage from here and then also some from other places around the world. So, we should be in the crowd for the new DVD whenever it comes out. Cool!!! It was a good conference. Lost of good teaching and we also went out and painted and cleaned and landscaped a school that is about a half hour away from the church as a social justice project. It was awesome. The school looked like what you would imagine the most getto school to look like and it looked so much better when we left. So, anyway here's the pictures.
The top picture is actually just a picture of the outside of Hillsongs Convention center.
