It's only 4 weeks until we go back to the US. We are very much looking forward to being back on home ground:) It's been a great year for us here in Australia and we will miss many things about the Land Down Under but we are so glad to be going home. Pray for us as we get ready for our trip home and as we are in the last phases of school. David takes his finals next week and then it's prep time for the biggest conference Hillsong holds all year long. It's pretty crazy! Pray for me as I work at the conference office. It's a mad house right now.
We can't wait to see you all. We've got lots of stories to tell and are excited to be with you.

Hunter Valley Continued

We visited some winerie...they were beautiful! It was a very romantic and

Hunter Valley

A view from our room. When we woke up in the morning there were three kangaroos on the lawn in front of our room. It was cool. No picutes of that though. We woke up at 6:30am and it was too dark to get a good picture of them.

1st Year Anniversary

One great year of marriage! David planned a surprose day for me. I was clueless as to what we were going to do. He started the day by giving me a very nice new watch and then we went to church...good place to be on your first anniversary:) Then we got on the train and went into Sydney and David took me to a stringed orchestra in the Sydney Opera House!!!! It was amazing!!(Mom, you would have loved it) We sat right in front of the stage...you can see a picture I took before anything started. Now I can say I've been to the Opera House and inside of it too:):) It was really special. But that wasn't all. He had me pack my bags the night before and after the Opera House we drove two hours to the Hunter Valley (the Napa Valley of Australia) It was beautiful. I will add some pictures of that above this too.

Just Out For A Drive

These are a couple pictures from a day out David and I had about a month ago. Yes, David shaved his head. He was trying to trim his hair and it all went bad so he just descided to surprise me when I got off work one day with a new look.... You can be the judge on what you think of it:) I got used to it and it wasn't too bad. Oh, and the cow...we were just getting back to our roots so we stopped to say hi:)

Home Again, Home Again

Here's a picture of our little house we've been living in with Will and Erin for the last few months. It's a great place to live actually. We are actually having some work done on our bathrooms right now by a Lebanese fellow. Pray for him! David invited him to have a coffe with him this morning and started witnessing to him. He is Islam/Cathlic... Anyway, it was an interesting conversation and we're praying that we'll have more opportunity with him over the coming week as he will be working at our house for a few more days. He has alot of mixed up beliefs from our chat so... Just pray against confussion in him and that the truth of the good news of the kingdom of God would be planted in him. He's in his fifties and has three kids... So background on our fixer upper guys:):) Really, do pray for him if you think of it. Pray we will have the words to speak to him too.

Sydney Botanicle Gardens

After the Opera House we walked around in the Sydney Botanicle Gardens. It was beautiful! They have trees and plants from everywhere there. God's creation is wild! We even got to see some interesting wildlife. The last two pictures you see here have the most creepy. The first is a bunch of bats haning in the trees and the second is a very large spider. He's kind of hard to see but look closely in the very middle of the picture and you will find him. The little dots in his web are his prey. Eck!

MORE of the City

On the bus and over to the Opera House for a visit. Yes, we have touched the Opera House:):) Not that it will matter in eternity but it made us smile.

New Adventures In The City Continued

Here we are in Darling Harbour. It was a beatiful day and we had brunch with Chris and Magali at a little cafe on the harbour. It was really a good time.
Christophe and Magali are wonderful. We can't wait to visit them in Switzerland in the future. Chris pastors a church there and they have taken a year here for training... we just know God has big things in store for them when they get back home. They are pure in heart and we know God will definately honor that and bless them. Pray for them as they head back to Switzerland on July 14th. They are looking at changes they feel God has laid on their heart for the church and they will need the practicle things too like an apartment...

New Adventures in The City

Here's some pictures of our trip into the City this last Monday. We went with our Swis friends Christophe and Magali. I think we drove over the Sydney Harbour bridge 4 times just trying to figure out which exit to take to get us down town. Then the parking cost us $40 for the day. Oofta!!! That's a pretty penny! It was great hang out time though and we got a good tour of the city by getting lost a bit. Christophe was a great driver too, he didn't even seem stressed at all. We were impressed.

Amy - Completely Aussie

Here's a fun picture of my friend Amy. She is awesome!! She's a school teacher here in Syndey who I met while serving in the welcome lounge at church. She's so funny, I was supposed to be meeting new people and she came up and introduced herself to me and a friend...She asked us if we were new. It was great! Anyway, she is completely Aussie. I have to make her say her sentances more than once so that I catch all her Australian slang.
These pictures were taken about a month ago when we had a beading night. I think we sat at the table being crafty for about 8 hours. You can see attached the byproduct of our fun. It's all made out of beads, and shells I picked up with David off the beach. GOOD FUN!

Time Flies By

Hi All

Wow time flies by fast. I feel like I just posted a few days ago but I guess it's been a month.
We're been a really busy couple. David just finished up another term of college so he was in the books and writing like crazy. He god everything in though and we're just waiting on grades. I know they'll be good though. :) Along with school he's been working out at Teen Challenge and loving it. God provided the job just when we needed it!!!! God has been so faithful during our time here in Australia. God is always faithful but it's been a awesome time of really being able to experiance His faithfulness in amazing ways. He's always provided when we didn't know how we were going to get by, he's always given us the people we needed in our life at the perfect time, He's been patient when we were being numb skulls, He's brought us back around when we didn't make the best descisions, He's loved us through our mistakes and taught us His ways through them, HE'S BEEN SO FAITHFUL!!!!!!!!! Yes, I could go on and on but really we are so blessed to be loved by the King and to be called His bride. We're so undeserving but so blessed! God was preparing a way for us before we got here for this time and has been preparing a way for our future while we've been here. And we're so excited about the future. We only have another 9 weeks here in Australia and then we are on to Texas to move David's mom to Alaska, then back down to the lower 48 after Alaska to be a part of Bethel Church in Kentucky. We're so excited about Kentucky! God has been paving a way for us to go there since before we even left Alaska and we're so excited about what God has in store for us there.
Please pray for us in these last couple months in Australia. We want to finish strong here and know we have been incredibly blessed to be here. Pray we will stay focused on what God has for us here in the next few weeks even as we are excited about coming home to the States.
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

Here are a few more Easter Pictures. You can see the whole bunch of eggs and our Easter Shoeboxes.

Easter In Australia

Ok, here's the Easter story in AU. I really wanted to dye eggs so I went out to hunt down what I would need in the form this country puts it out. The conclusion to the search ended with a box of paints and a dozen eggs. We had to paint our eggs because eggs only come in one color here - brown. I don't even think they know what easter egg dye is...at least the little neighbor girl I asked didn't. It was good though. Erin, Will, David and I had a ball painting eggs together. Both of the boys dropped the eggs they did and so were a bit frusterated:) David also painted his white before decorating it because he said decorating a brown egg just didn't feel right. It was a good time.
We also took braided bread to the neighbor, and the video store man and invited them to church. They didn't come but we had good talks with them so...seed planted...or at least soil tilled.
Easter Sunday we had church but we did have a big lunch together and watched Passion of the Christ. That was intense! That movie is always an eye opener. Before the movie though I cooked my first Ham. It turned out ok thanks to allrecipes.com.
So that was Easter in AU. Oh, I did make easter shoe boxes for David, Will, & Erin. That was fun!!!! Thank you Brenda for the candy you sent us!!! It was our easter candy and we're still munching on it.
